What professional development opportunities have you found most valuable in your teaching career?

One of the most beneficial professional development that I attend was at the beginning of my career. The workshop was called "Unpacking the Standards." Through this workshop I was able to learn the benefits of diving deep into the standards and breaking them down to understandable pieces. It also was eye opening because as a new teacher my focus would lean on the curriculum and not the standards as much. My strategy of teaching has moved to using the curriculum as a resource and focusing on standard instruction.
One of the best professional developments that I have received was when I attended a Seesaw class. I really enjoyed this because it was the tool that we used during Covid to communicate with parents and students to show what they were learning. You are able to record your own videos and can upload videos to help increase student learning. You can also have students to complete worksheets so that you can see what they need to work on.
