Technology question. Does anyone have a simple spreadsheet or digital checkout system for materials? I am an academic coach and I have materials for teachers to use but not a great way to share with them all of the resources or a good way to check in and out these materials. Any ideas are appreciated!
I would create a google sheet it would take a little effort to set up but then you’d have it to share. Try searching templates. There may be something you can copy.
We use Google Sheets.. and sometimes our secretary will link it into the school-wide Google calendar as well.
I use the Lit Leveler app! You can scan barcodes with it or use several other ways of coding materials so you know who has what.
In our resource room, our coaches have a sign in sign out log that we use when we borrow materials. It has a box that asks for your name, what you were borrowing, the date you borrowed it, and then when you return it you know that date there too. That way at the end of the year if materials have not been returned, the coaches know who to come to for each material and What you have specifically checked out.
